Our client based in the Toronto area has an immediate temporary opportunity for Financial Reporting Analyst.

This is a temporary in office position lasting at least 4 months with a possibility for an extension.

Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial forecasts for projects using inputs collected from various stakeholders to communicate annual funding requirements in support of government’s annual budgeting process and in-year approval requests.
- Assist in the preparation of internal and external financial reporting at a project level for quarterly cycles and ad-hoc requests as required.
- Monitor and reconcile project-level cost reports ensuring accurate representation of costs and commitments.
- Support the automation and development of various financial reports required by the Capital Program Financial Reporting team and other departmental stakeholders.
- Review quarterly invoices for accuracy and alignment to quarterly financial reporting.
- Assist in preparation of summary reports to capture updated forecast information for corporate financial planning & analysis purposes.
- Prepare ad-hoc financial reporting materials related to infrastructure projects as required.
- Assist in preparation of budget tables and templates to capture Total Project Costs.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Post secondary education in Accounting and Finance is required
- 5 years experience
- Accounting Designation required
