Our client in the Education sector, is looking to hire an experienced Senior HR Coordinator for their office located in Toronto, ON.

  • Responsibilities
    MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The primary function of this position is to provide support to the HR department in the day to day tasks of the HR function with a special emphasis on recruiting. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
    • Conduct initial applicant screening for recruitment, providing an exceptional candidate experience
    • Assist setting up interviews, coordinate candidates throughout the recruitment process
    • Coordination of new hire paperwork, collection and processing for onboarding
    • Maintain a strong knowledge of HR practices and policies
    • Provide general administrative support to the department by drafting and responding to correspondence, creating and maintaining HR related files
    • Responsible for daily input into the HRIS System, prioritize work flow as necessary
    • Perform other duties as required or assigned
  • Requirements
    • Post-secondary degree, diploma or certification in Human Resources or working towards. CHRP would be asset.
    • Five (5) years of HR Coordinator or Generalist experience
    • Proficient computer skills in all major software applications including Microsoft Office Suite e.g. MS Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint
    • Previous experience with HRIS and ATS system
    • Recruitment experience
    • Proven analytical skills analyzing patterns such as attendance patterns
    • Knowledge of unionized environment and collective agreements
    • Excellent organizational skills and proven ability to multi-task and prioritize daily activities in conjunction with deadlines
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to deal with sensitive and confidential matters
