Our client, a large distributor and manufacturer of construction materials, is looking to hire a Marketing Specialist. You will work to maintain effective marketing campaigns online, leveraging various digital platforms and techniques to drive brand awareness, engagement, and conversion.

  • Responsibilities
    The responsibilities of the position will include (but not limited to):
    • Design visually compelling graphics, including but not limited to social media posts, website banners, email newsletters, advertisements, and marketing collateral.
    • Manage and maintain our company's social media profiles and presence, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms.
    • Develop and implement social media strategies to increase engagement, followers, and brand awareness.
    • Create and curate engaging content for social media platforms, ensuring consistency with brand voice and messaging.
    • Monitor social media trends, tools, and applications and recommend strategies to keep the company ahead of the curve.
    • Conduct regular audits of our website to ensure content accuracy, relevance, and optimal user experience.
    • Plan and execute marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, print, and events.
    • Assist with copywriting tasks, including crafting compelling headlines, taglines, and marketing copy for various mediums.
    • Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver designs that meet objectives and deadlines.
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, design best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve the quality and effectiveness of our marketing efforts.
  • Requirements
    The ideal candidate will have:
    • A post-secondary degree, college diploma or equivalent years’ work experience in marketing or a related field.
    • 10-15 years of relevant work experience in interactive marketing and/or media, digital advertising, graphic design, communications.
    • An understanding of marketing fundamentals.
    • Proven organizational skills, project management and attention to detail.
    • Knowledge in key areas of marketing (SEO, social media, PPC and SEM).
    • Experience in planning, creating, implementing and analyzing marketing strategies and campaigns
    • A solid understanding of keyword search, internet metrics, analysis, and ad delivery processes.
    • The ability to stay up to date on marketing trends and news (e.g. Google updates and changes in algorithms).
    • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills including the ability to develop and deliver clear and persuasive presentations.
    • The ability to work effectively, independently and as a team, including cross-functional teams.
