We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Representative for our client in the Healthcare Industry.

  • Responsibilities
    Scope: This role is essential in providing exceptional service to patients and families, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, have a strong accounting acumen, be able to analyze customer inquiries, and demonstrate a commitment to enhancing the customer experience. Duties
    • Coordinate signing of Patient Service Agreement (PSA)
    • Activates TV & Web services as needed
    • Communicate to appropriate departments of room preference and services requested
    • Obtain signed Personal Health Information release consent form & send up to patient’s unit
    • Update patient accommodation and services on Meditech system
    • Scan service agreements and other documents into Meditech and file copies for backups
    • Daily and monthly entering of charges including preferred room accommodation, co-payment, foot care, transportation and manual TV billing- this includes the timely adjustment of semi-private and private room charges when needed
    • Process credit card payments on the POS terminal and process cheque payments
    • Create and process transaction batches for patient payments, which includes providing receipts when requested and any adjustments and/or refunds
    • Prepare insurance claim forms for patients with private insurance upon request
    • Upload and download Moneris daily payments log
    • Reconcile and provide information to patients explaining account transactions and/or resolve accounting issues and discrepancies
  • Requirements
    Experience
    • Previous experience in a customer service role is required
    • Experience with using a POS terminal, processing debit/credit transactions
    • Strong accounting acumen
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
    • Familiarity with data entry systems and basic computer applications.
    • A positive attitude, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role.
