Job Details:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Part-time Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing cheque requests as well as monthly reporting and bank reconciling. This role requires proficiency in Sage accounting software and a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles. If you are passionate about numbers and possess excellent analytical skills, we would love to hear from you.

Work Location: In person

Expected hours: 14 per week

Expected start date: 2025-01-13

    Responsibilities
    • Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, ensuring timely invoicing and payments.
    • Perform account analysis and reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records.
    • Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accounted for.
    • Utilize Sage accounting software for efficient record-keeping.
    • Maintain organized financial files and documentation for easy retrieval.
  • Requirements
    Requirements
    • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
    • Proficient in accounting software ( Sage, or similar).
    • Strong understanding of accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, account analysis, account reconciliation, and bank reconciliation processes.
    • Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
    • Strong analytical skills with a problem-solving mindset.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • A degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred but not required.
    • AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

    Experience:

    • Sage: 3 years (preferred)
    • Bookkeeping: 4 years (preferred)

    Flexible language requirement:

    • French not required
