Our client in the North York area has an immediate requirement for a Senior Financial Analyst with strong Audit experience. This is a Hybrid 6 month contract which may be extended. We are looking for a detail-oriented and strategically minded Senior Financial Analyst to join our Finance team. The senior Financial Analyst perform a variety of financial activities including budgeting, forecasting, building financial models, assisting with financial planning, performing research and analysis, preparing reports, and assisting with close processes.

  • Responsibilities
    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES · Provides accurate and timely financial information and analysis to senior management, executives and other stakeholders including but not limited to: · Analyzing financial data and developing financial models and cost projections · Co-ordinate and prepare financial budgets consistent with companies’ strategic plan and business objectives for evaluation by management. · Prepare timely monthly financial statements as compared to the approved budget, including analysis to identify anomalies and trends. · Prepare quarterly and annual financial reports including variance analysis for Senior Managers. · Provide support and expertise to divisional management to assist them in their decision making process on operational issues. · Administer and maintain the accounting system to ensure the integrity of all financial information so that it adheres to corporate policy, ASNPO, IFRS and statutory regulations and laws. · Foster sound relationships with member companies and other trade Associations for which we have service agreements. · Provide financial reporting and guidance to other trade Associations for which we have accounting service agreements. · Assist in coordination of year-end financial audit and production of the financial statements in conjunction with external auditors. · Supporting accounting teem as needed and helping with tax, reporting, and audit activities and special projects. · Other duties as assigned
  • Requirements
    QUALIFICATIONS · University degree in Business Administration, Commerce or Economics and a professional accounting designation (CA, CMA or CGA ). · Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in private industry or non-profit association responsible for full accounting cycle. · Strong analytical and problem solving skills and ability to work independently · Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with other business units and other members of the team in a professional and effective manner. · Excellent verbal and written communication skills. · Proficient with Microsoft Office and various software applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and databases. · Strong understanding of technical accounting principles and guidelines (IFRS and ASNPO)

    Job Type: Fixed term contract

    Contract length: 6 months

    Pay: $125,000.00-$135,000.00 per year
