Position: Vendor Rebate Analyst

Vendor Rebate Analyst Role
The Vendor Rebate Analyst is a highly engaging role that will allow you to build strong relationships across the enterprise. The successful candidate will be a great communicator with advanced excel skills. In this role you will primarily focus on actively ensuring accuracy in billings across all vendor programs, while maintaining a strong sense of partnership across various merchandising teams. This role requires an extremely organized individual who is efficient, accurate and pays attention to details.

  • Responsibilities
    Vendor Rebate Analyst Role The Vendor Rebate Analyst is a highly engaging role that will allow you to build strong relationships across the enterprise. The successful candidate will be a great communicator with advanced excel skills. In this role you will primarily focus on actively ensuring accuracy in billings across all vendor programs, while maintaining a strong sense of partnership across various merchandising teams. This role requires an extremely organized individual who is efficient, accurate and pays attention to details. What you’ll do:
    • - Manage vendor fund billings using data extracted from Access database as well as information provided through contract agreements via buyer, procurement etc.
    • - Reconcile purchases and rebates between Access database and accounting system
    • - Conduct reconciliations and analysis of the various rebate programs as required and provide clear commentary with regards to the drivers
    • - Manage, complete and maintain corporate policy controls to ensure all billings and processes are sound
    • - Identify problems and take accountability for the resolution or escalations as appropriate
    • - Work with internal/external departments and vendors to ensure rebate terms on contract agreements are understood and executed properly
    • - Strategic conversations across multiple levels to improve processes and work towards a one company directive
    • - Drive improvement opportunities and changes to current and new processes/systems with cross functional and multiple stakeholder groups
    • - Create and maintain departmental procedure manuals and process maps
    • - Lead in any adhoc analysis and/or automation projects as required
  • Requirements
    What you bring:
    • - University degree or College diploma in Finance, Accounting, or business-related discipline or equivalent work experience
    • - 2-3 years in an analytical role
    • - Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
    • - Access and Peoplesoft knowledge are an asset
    • - Detail oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks and responsibilities
    • - Strong financial acumen and general accounting knowledge
    • - Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
    • - Superior communication and interpersonal skills
    • - Able to effectively perform duties with minimal supervision
    • - Ability to build and maintain strong relationships within various roles across the organization and external vendors
     
    • - Client relationship building: 3 years (preferred)
    • - Microsoft Excel: 3 years (required)
    • - Accounting: 2 years (preferred)
    • - DCS / DEC (required)
